Mavoy Music's Top Reissues and Compilations of 2024
We’re finally finishing our best of 2024 article series with two charts of reissues and compilations. I already talked before that these are probably least strict of all the charts – I used the word „freeform” on Bluesky. I must say I’m disappointed that both are actually shorter than the last year, hopefully it won’t become a regular thing. Most of all, I’m just excited to show off my taste, because it’s amazing to finally have a year-end chart with Cocteau Twins, MF DOOM or Aphex at the top.
And finally, this is the first thing that Bowie wins. In 2016, he lost to Cohen and Cave in truly impossible competition (all three should have won that year, really). But at long last, the artist who is in my profile picture, has his moment. Thank you, David.
